Course participants with learn the most important principles for the reconstruction of natural aesthetics of the anterior teeth with direct restoratives.Beginning from the proper bevel preparation, through optimal bonding procedure, towards layers stratification, polymerization and characterization options, concluding by finishing and polishing, dentists will go through the whole way to achieve unmatched aesthetics, making the direct composite restoration invisible. Detailed systematic procedure, as well as corresponding tips and tricks will be covered in the presentation and then carried out by every participant during the hand-on session.

Direct composites allow restoring of the missing tooth structure with minimal intervention, At the same time, anisotropic structure of the tooth requires the use of the material with different levels of opacity/translucency. It goes without saying,  that the layering technique is mandatory in this case to meet natural aesthetics in terms of optical properties and tooth space, as well. In certain cases even additional characterisations, like a crack line for example, must be reproduced to get a perfect transition from an artificial material to the natural tooth. That is why the creation of a naturally looking restoration can be challenging for the dentists.

Learning Objectives

  1. Aesthetic tooth preparation techniques to hide transitions.
  2. Latest bonding procedure.
