Bio
Tauno KANGUR is Acting Secretary to UN/CEFACT provided by the Global Trade Solutions Section of Trade and Sustainable Land Management Division of the UNECE. He is responsible for secretarial support to UN/CEFACT, maintenance the United Nations Electronic Data Interchange for Administration, Commerce and Transport Standard (UN/EDIFACT) and other UN Trade Facilitation recommendations. He was formerly Economics Affairs Officer in UNECE Industry and Technology Division and Statistician in UNECE Statistical Division. Prior to joining the United Nations Tauno worked as Managing Director of an air tickets company in Estonia; Senior Specialist in Civil Aviation Administration and Ministry of Finance of Estonia; Assistant Professor at School of Economics and Business of Tallinn University of Technology, Estonia. Tauno holds a BA in Applied Mathematics from Tartu University, Estonia, and has undertaken extensive postgraduate training in international securities markets development, financial markets, macroeconomics and economic statistics.
