Ms Yeo is the Chief Information Officer of Singapore Customs. She is responsible for the IT masterplanning, development and maintenance of IT services and solutions, and overall ICT governance for Singapore Customs. In 2007, she led the team to transform the national trade infrastructure and cargoes clearance. The transformation oversaw the re-development of TradeNet®; revamp of the entire customs legacy systems; as well as, the development of TradeXchange® to integrate the trade and logistics IT systems, processes and information for air, land, sea and government. The new TradeNet® further enhanced its value-add as the National Single Window, to provide a more simplified declaration structure, and expanded its scope to cover for all trade formalities. This is complemented by a new suite of customs regulatory systems with seamless integration with banks, port operators and border control agency. The TradeXchange®, on the other hand, provides a neutral and secure platform to enable the trade and logistics communities to share and re-use common data with its downstream parties across the supply chain.
