Peter Boven has been working on information management projects at Europol since 2008. Currently, he is responsible for managing the establishment of a digital forensic network and digital forensic lab as part of the Cybercrime Programme that will establish a European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) at Europol. His additional projects include providing support to Member States in order to extract, transform, and load operational police data into Europol systems, and establishing secure communication links between Europol and its partners. Prior to joining Europol, Peter was a police officer for the federal police in Belgium, at the Directorate of Operational Information. He began his career as a police officer with the local Brussels police and holds a Master’s degree in Criminology from the University of Leuven (Belgium).
