Jos Ensing is Chief Executive for the Government Single Window on Trade and Transport for the Netherlands, responsible for aligning communication and digitalisation between trade and government. The project should lead to a Single Window for the cross border transactions by all the modes of transport (air, sea, railway, inland barge, road transport) and includes the exchange of information not only from Business to Customs but to all government agencies which have a direct regulatory task in supervision in cross border transactions. The mid term milestone is a maritime Single Window in 2015. Jos Ensing has a broad experience in various positions within the Tax and Customs administration of the Netherlands and the Ministry of Finance. Positions he held in the past: Head of excise policy department, manager of Customs region, head of Customs Legislation department, manager of computerisation, dep. manager of Tax region, accountmanager Customs affairs air cargo, manager programme physical supervision.
