Bio

I. V. Mazorodze, popularly known simply as ‘I.V.’, has 30 years Customs experience which started with Zimbabwe Customs administration (1980 – 1991).

In 1992 he joined the Human Resources Development Services of the World Customs Organization (now the Capacity Building Directorate) where he worked for 7 years rising to the rank of Senior Technical Officer. Whilst with the WCO Secretariat I.V. was involved in the Customs Reform and Modernisation Programme which included development and implementation of WCO Diagnostic Tools, Training Systems Development methodology, Train-the-trainer workshops, etc.

In his career I.V. has undertaken Customs assignments in many Customs administration in Africa and Asia, including 10 years as Customs management advisor to the South African Revenue Service.

I.V. is currently the Commissioner of Customs and Excise in the Swaziland Revenue Authority – a position he has held since the launching of the SRA on 1st January 2011.
