ICCA Congress 2018

Millennials will make up an incredible 75% of the workforce by 2025 - meetings and events included - so it’s incredibly important we bridge the gap between generations and get to the root of what Millennials really want when it comes to our industry. What better way to do that than by hearing from them directly?

For the second year running, ICCA invites Millennials to come and compete in a friendly pitching battle that will help shape ICCA’s next education programme!
Sponsored by MEET TAIWAN, Welcome to Kaohsiung 2020

Ever been to a congress and felt like something was missing from the education programme? Got a topic that you think ICCA should be talking about?

Millennials in meetings! You are invited to pitch a concept for a future Congress education session that you believe will really appeal to your fellow Millennial delegates! To win the chance to turn your session idea into a reality, come up with an innovative/engaging format, a great topic or challenge, clear objectives, and explain what’s unique about your idea and why Millennials will like it.

Please base your idea on the following framework:
- Budget: EUR 2000 (which can be spent on guest speakers, extra tech, rented furniture, props, anything – on top of the usual set-up for an ICCA session)
- Time: 75 or 90 minutes
- Audience: 80-120 delegates.

All finalists will receive access to an exclusive pitching webinar with renowned pitch trainer, TEDx speech coach, and author of Three Minute Presentation David Beckett. Before they pitch their idea live to the judging panel, David will also help finalists to refine their presentation strategy on-site in Dubai with a personalised, face-to-face training session.

This is an incredible opportunity to develop a vital professional skill; David has trained over 300 startups and thousands of professionals at companies such as Akzo Nobel and TomTom to make business-winning pitches and is a regular on the TEDx set, having trained 16 speakers at events at CERN and in Amsterdam and Munich.
