Bio

         James (Jim) Canham is Accenture’s Global Lead for Customs.  In this role, he is responsible for sales, developing new business solutions and maintaining and developing relationships with clients and collaboration partners.  Jim has considerable experience working in the customs and border industry worldwide, most recently with TAXUD in Brussels and HMRC in the UK. 

         He has also worked with public sector and government clients throughout his career.  His experience extends beyond customs into higher education, defense and security, home affairs, and central government policy and strategy. 

         Jim holds degrees from the University of London, the University of Bristol and an MBA from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris.  He has written a number of articles related to customs, the most recent being “Delivering Leadership in a Complex Environment: How Customs Agencies will Succeed after the Crisis,” which appeared in the Global Trade and Customs Journal earlier this year.  He is currently working on a new piece related to the use of mobile applications in the world of Customs.
