Bio

DONNA DONG is currently leading a regional trade team in Microsoft to look at regional trade issues in the countries of China, Korea, Japan, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand and other Southeast Asian countries.  Previously, she was the Head of Customs and Trade Compliance, BayerMaterialScience China. She established a customs and trade compliance team of 6 staff and provided in-house customs and trade related advisories to the existing operations and new investments in China.  Prior to joining Bayer, she worked for Worldtrade Management Service in PriceWaterhouseCoopers Beijing Office for 6 years and advised clients in relation to resolution of customs issues on merger and acquisition, customs consideration in business model designing process, assisting clients in customs valuation negotiations with Customs, providing customs advisory support in a client’ customs anti-smuggling investigation.  Donna has extensive knowledge of China customs legislation, foreign investment policy, foreign exchange control and very experienced in China’s export VAT refund scheme.
