An engineer by training, Dominique Deschênes is the General Manager of Operations and Innovation at Transition énergétique Québec. In her capacity as a manager working with government departments and agencies, companies and energy distributors, she analyzes the economic impacts of every decision, while her engineering training helps her understand the technical aspects and environmental impacts. She brings great enthusiasm to the innovative projects she works on with her team on a daily basis without ever losing sight of her primary mission to help Québec make the energy transition. Before joining the ranks of the public service, where she served in various capacities at the Ministère de l’Énergie et des Ressources naturelles, Ms. Deschênes worked for almost ten years at EXFO, first as an engineer, then as a manager. During her studies, she completed internships in California and Spain, and has since maintained a keen interest in international news.
