Jim Redford is vice president of business development, storage and transmission for Union Gas Limited. Redford is accountable for Union Gas’ storage and transmission business. This includes long-term storage and transportation sales and marketing, as well as business development activities and upstream regulation, gas supply and carbon credit acquisition, product and service development, customer support and gas control and nominations. Before assuming his current role in 2016, Redford was director of business development & upstream regulation for Union Gas. He was responsible for the growth and development of the Union Gas storage and transmission assets and for NEB and FERC regulatory matters related to Union Gas’ business. Redford was also responsible for the operation of affiliate storage and transmission companies in Ontario. He has previously served as Project and Construction Manager with Maritimes & Northeast Pipeline in Halifax bringing natural gas to Maritimes communities. He has over 28 years of natural gas industry experience in engineering, project development, business development and sales roles. Redford is a graduate in Geological Engineering from the University of Toronto and is a licensed member of Professional Engineers Ontario.
