Keith Hayward is the CEO of North East Mississippi Electric Power Association located in Oxford, Mississippi. A lifelong resident of Oxford, he received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Mississippi in 1987 and joined North East the following year as an Engineer and Assistant to the General Manager. In 2006, Keith was promoted to Manager of Engineering, Operation and IT where he spearheaded the early adoption of many new technologies being offered to cooperatives. In 2013, the Board of Directors selected Keith CEO. During his 29 years of service, the cooperative has grown from 10,000 to over 25,000 meters and continues to be one of the fastest growing electric cooperatives in the country.
