Bio
The central theme of my scholarship has been to develop ways to promote positive development for children and adolescents. This has included research focused on examining risk factors, developing approaches to intervention that address the social and psychological needs of children and adolescents AND the social and organizational environments that critical to youth development. Most recently my work has focused on the relations between school climate, student behaviors, and student achievement, with a specific emphasis on racial disparities in the incidence of exclusionary discipline.
