Oftentimes, diversity is synonymous with hiring/retaining more women -- particularly cis-women of the majority racial group (i.e. white in the US). This framing leaves out LGBTQ+ and ethno-racial underrepresentation, the challenges of age, class, religion, and ability discrimination. This panel takes on the traditional framing of D&I and lays out a framework for a more intersectional approach -- one that takes into account multiple, intersecting, and compound identities.
