David Petursson is the Manager of Distribution Standards and the Chief Gas Engineer for Manitoba Hydro. He is responsible for gas and electric standards, corrosion control, pipeline integrity and he has taken the lead on development of Manitoba Hydro’s Safety and Loss Management system. He has 24 years of experience in gas distribution with 17 years prior experience in the upstream oil & gas sector. Dave has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering, is a member of APEGM and has served on several Canadian Gas Association committees. Dave has 15 years of experience on CSA C662 committee and is currently a voting member of the Z662 Technical committee. Apart from work, Dave is an active certified International Chief Umpire for Curling.
