Director Global Risk, TT Club

Laurence Jones is a qualified engineer with over 40 years extensive management, engineering, maintenance, operations, industrial relations and logistics experience spanning manufacturing, mining and the global ports and terminals industry. In his current role as Risk Assessment Director for the TT Club, he provides advice and support in underwriting decisions and claims assessment and works proactively with clients and industry worldwide to identify areas where risks may be reduced. In addition to his role as Deputy Chairman for ICHCA International, he is a Director of ICHCA Australia and sits on ICHCA’s ISP Expert Panel. He is a member of the IAPH Safety, Security & Environment Committee and the PEMA Safety and Special Events & Education Committees.

	Ian Adams Chief Executive Association of Bulk Terminal Operators Ian Adams has been involved in the Shipping Industry since 1985 in various capacities, with P&O Cruises, Deep Sea Seals and Hamworthy. He is currently Managing Director of IMA Marine Ltd and Chief Executive of the Association of Bulk Terminal Operators (ABTO). He was the Executive Director of the Dry Bulk Terminals Group between June 2013 and May 2016 during which time he was the head of delegation for the International Bulk Terminals Association (IBTA) at the International Maritime Organization (IMO) attending MSC, MEPC and CCC (previously DSC). Ian has an extensive knowledge of MARPOL and the IMSBC Code.

	Jan Boermans Director HSSE Europe and Russia DP World Jan Boermans is Regional HSE Director Europe and Russia for global terminal operator DP World, a position he has held for nearly 10 years. Jan has close to 20 years' experience in health and safety management, having previously spent 9 years as Regional H&S Manager for Amcor PET Packaging. A long-time member of ISP, Jan assumed the position of ISP Chair in June 2014.

	Richard Brough Technical Adviser ICHCA International Richard Brough started his career in 1969 with the Merchant Navy, culminating in command level. After 20 years at sea, he came ashore and worked in various port and stevedoring management positions until 2004, when he established his own port and logistics consultancy. From 2008-2011 he also launched, ran and sold UK Port Services Ltd. Richard provides ICHCA International’s Technical Advisor service and is deeply involved in the association’s work with various international agencies and regulatory bodies.

	Martin Clive-Smith Director of Engineering BLOK-BEAM Ltd Martin Clive-Smith is Director of Engineering at BLOK-BEAM Ltd.

	Mark Edwards Managing Director Modalis Mark Edwards has over 25 years of logistics experience garnered at a variety of logistics service providers and product manufacturers; he is currently the Managing Director of Modalis, a dynamic logistics consultancy specialising in pharmaceutical and temperature controlled logistics. His projects at Modalis have included helping a major pharmaceutical manufacturer to achieve GDP compliance, moving an electronics manufacturer to a new freight provider to save 40% on freight costs, migrating 2 distribution centres for a telecommunications company and successfully assisting various companies with their RFP/RFQ.

	John Evans Director BLOK-BEAM Ltd John Evans started working in Container Industry in 1970 as Managing Director of Geoffrey Reyner Ltd. In 1978 he opened Northern Containers Ltd. John was a Founder member and later Chairman of the UK Container Repair association and subsequently the European Container Repair association. In 1987 he formed John Evans International Ltd (JEI) to supply management systems to container depots and terminals. Since then John has installed systems in over 50 countries, on every continent.

	Conor Feighan Policy Advisor FEPORT Conor Feighan is Policy Advisor for FEPORT. FEPORT represents the interests of terminal operators and stevedoring companies located out of the sea ports of the European Union. Prior to FEPORT, Conor previously worked within the European Parliament and European Economic and Social Committee. Conor holds a Master’s Degree in European Politics and Law from University College Dublin.

	Yasuyuki Nishio Director, Engineering Administration Office Japanese Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism

	Peregrine Storrs-Fox Risk Management Director TT Club Peregrine Storrs-Fox has been with the TT Club since 1984, firstly handling claims and providing advice to all types of transport and logistics operators, including ports and terminals, until the late 1990s when he began directing claims operations worldwide for the Club. Since 2002, he has led the TT Club's internal risk management framework as well as directing its loss prevention services to Members. In this latter role he has particularly developed links with like-minded trade organisations and NGOs with a view to promote good practice in health and safety matters as well as general operations.
