Bio
James (Jim) Canham is Accenture’s lead for the customs industry in Europe, Latin America and Africa. In this role, he is responsible for sales, developing new business solutions and maintaining and developing relationships with clients and partners. Jim has considerable experience working in the customs and border industry worldwide, most recently with TAXUD in Brussels.

He has also worked with public sector and government clients throughout his career. His experience extends beyond customs into higher education, defense and security, home affairs, and central government policy and strategy.

Prior to Accenture, Jim worked at KPMG, as the head of the government strategy team in the United Kingdom, and prior to that was a university lecturer.

Jim holds degrees from the University of London, the University of Bristol and an MBA from the Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussees in Paris. He has written a number of articles related to customs, the most recent being “Delivering Leadership in a Complex Environment: How Customs Agencies will Succeed after the Crisis,” which appeared in the Global Trade and Customs Journal.
