Mickaël Laurans has been the Head of the Joint Brussels office of the UK Law Societies since 2012, leading on their engagement with the EU institutions and the WTO. He is also the Information Officer of the UK Delegation to the Council of Bars and Law Societies of Europe (CCBE). Prior to working in Brussels, Mickaël spent nine years in London working for the international department of the Law Society of England and Wales in charge of bilateral European and international regulatory issues. Mickaël graduated from the Institut d'Etudes Politiques of Rennes (France) in Law, Economics and Public Policy. He also holds an MA in Post-Communist Studies from Exeter University, a Diplôme D'Etudes Europeennes from I.E.P. Rennes and an MRes in EU Politics and Public Policies from Birkbeck College, University of London.
