Engage with leading philanthropic thinkers, strategists and innovators

Join us at the Philanthropy Summit 2017

Innovate for Impact
May 10-12, 2017

Innovation is playing an increasingly crucial role in the success of communities, organisations and even countries, and can fundamentally shift the impact of philanthropy.

In May 2017, we are hosting the country’s largest gathering of leaders involved with philanthropy. Held at Te Papa, Innovate for Impact will bring together global and local thought leaders from philanthropy, business, iwi, government, investment and the community sector along with innovators for the two-day summit that will inform, inspire and challenge you.

The Summit will explore global and local perspectives on innovation in philanthropy and provide unique networking and professional development opportunities.

Speakers include Katy Love, Wikimedia Foundation (USA); Mark Randazzo, EDGE Funders Alliance (USA); Dr Dhananjayan (Danny) Sriskandarajah, CIVICUS (SA); Akaya Winwood, Rockwood Leadership Institute (USA); Allan and Rachel English, English Family Foundation, (AUS); Donna Flavell, Waikato-Tainui (NZ); Judge Carolyn Henwood (NZ), Dai Henwood (NZ) and Rangimarie Naida Glavish, co-chair of her iwi Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Whātua (NZ).

There will also be specialised breakout sessions, and ‘pockets of change’—unique stories of innovation from global and local funders who have challenged the norm, thought outside the square and changed their world.

For the first time, Philanthropy New Zealand is opening Summit registration to our community members and other not-for-profits in a solicitation-free environment.

We look forward to seeing you there, and together learning about game-changing strategies and innovative ways to maximise our impact in philanthropy.

IFIP Pacific Regional Hui

Make the most of your time in Wellington and if you’re in town on Monday 8 - Tuesday 9 May 2017, we recommend you attend the IFIP Pacific Regional Hui, at Te Wānanga o Raukawa, Ōtaki, New Zealand. This is a rare opportunity for funders and indigenous leaders/groups to meet together in a small indigenous Māori community, only an hour from the capital city that initiated a tribal development plan 30 years ago. Witness the changes.
