Several major efforts, such as Outreachy, the Ada Initiative, Python community outreach, Women in Open Source Award sponsored by Red Hat, and Grace Hopper Open Source Day and Track, have moved the needle on diversity and inclusion in open source in the last six years. This talk will discuss the results they had and what made them effective, and provide an overview of emerging trends.
