Description: From diagnosis through treatment, direct placed composite restorations should be completed without the use of anesthesia, rotary instruments, or pain. This can be a reality in dental treatment if dentists incorporate new technologies in every day treatment. Diagnostic Equipment is far more accurate than an explorer; Air abrasive devices now utilize a water shroud to minimize extraneous dust while preparing pristine cavities no larger than necessary and cause no harm to tooth structure. Surgical microscopy provides a quantum leap in diagnosis but also treatment. Micro restorations are invisible to the unaided eye, show little wear, and can last decades.
Learning objectives:
- Attendees will learn what information diagnostic instruments can give us.
- Attendees will view microscopic videos of how air abrasives are safe and effective for use in restorative dentistry, preventive sealants and stain removal.
- Attendees will learn methodologies of Micro-Invasive treatment which will have a positive impression on their patients and a positive effect on practice production.
This Learning Lab is brought to you by Velopex International.
