Description: This lecture course is a full-day introduction to the “Fundamentals of Occlusion for Dentists” participation course. The A.M. portion of this course will focus on the role of centric relation in creating stable occlusions, while the P.M. portion of this course will focus on anterior guidance. Both sessions will address occlusal disease and dysfunction, as well as developing a clear picture of what an optimal occlusion looks like.
Learning objectives:
- Learn about centric reference points and incisal edges as reference points.
- Learn to establish desirable static tooth contacts.
- Learn an anterior guidance technique.
- Discuss dynamic functional considerations.
