John Landry, a prolific and pioneering software entrepreneur and active angel investor, has been involved with CommonAngels since 1998 and is now a member of the Investment Advisory Committee.

John is a 40-year veteran of the software business who has served as Chief Technology Officer and Senior Software Executive at such industry leaders as Lotus Development (acquired by IBM), Dun & Bradstreet Software, Cullinet Software (acquired by CA) and McCormack & Dodge (acquired by Dun & Bradstreet). Following IBM’s acquisition of Lotus in 1995, John was appointed IBM’s VP Technology Strategy by IBM CEO Lou Gertsner and tasked with developing and implementing IBM’s entire internet/e-business strategy, serving in that role until 1999. Complementing this executive experience at large software companies, he was also Co-Founder/Chairman/CTO of several successful startups including Agility Systems (acquired by Dun & Bradstreet), Narrative Communications (acquired by Excite/AtHome), AnyDay.com (acquired by Palm) and Adjoin Solutions (acquired by CA).
