2015 NZ HIV Clinical Update Meeting
Tony Hughes

Scientific Director, New Zealand AIDS Foundation

Tony has worked full time on HIV management since November 1984. He organised the first Government-funded HIV prevention campaign for gay men in New Zealand in 1985, and was appointed Research Director at NZAF in 1990.

Since 1996 his main focus has been on connecting scientific knowledge about the biology and population-level transmission of HIV in order to sharpen primary prevention strategy for gay and bisexual men and support universal condom use for anal sex.
