Sarah Reynolds
Sarah has over 25 years experience in the international logistics industry specializing in supply chain management to difficult and problematic countries worldwide.
During her employment at SDV USA she managed a department devoted towards the handling of United Nations related shipments and non-governmental organizations. She worked directly in assisting these agencies with their export and import needs by offering shipping solutions and expertise on export regulations to third world countries.
Earlier in her career at SDV, Sarah managed various types of commercial shipments which included aircraft parts regulated by the Department of State, computer and electronic equipment, cosmetics and raw materials. Due to the nature of these commodities, part of her responsibilities was to provide support to her staff regarding U.S and international regulations, Incoterms, export licenses and letters of credit. Sarah was also the in house certified dangerous goods specialist.
Past accomplishments included being part of an ISO quality team established to create and implement quality policies and procedures resulting in the certification of her employer at the time, USF Worldwide.
Sarah has also been involved with several organizations within the industry. In addition to the above companies, she has worked for Kuehne & Nagel, UTI and BDP where she was exposed to various aspects of the international transportation industry, including, but not limited to, project freight, worldwide bids and carrier negotiations, sales and customer service, compliance management, and network development.
Sarah has developed an expertise in assisting companies engaged in global trade in bettering their supply chain practices in areas such as freight negotiation, best practices, trade compliance, documentation, import and export regulations, and other related concerns.
Sarah’s experience also includes teaching International Logistics at Baruch College.
Sarah is a licensed customhouse broker and is currently a Senior Consultant / Trainer and Vice President of Operations at American River International’s corporate office in New York.
