Imagine the future with industrial minerals
Industrial minerals are a crucial component in almost everything we see, use and touch in today's world - yet their contribution is so imperceptible, hardly anyone knows they are there. Industrial minerals are essential. They are beneficial. They are smart. They drive innovation. They contribute sustainability.Imagine the future with Industrial Minerals will be a very special event. Not only will IMA-Europe be celebrating its 20th Anniversary and looking back at its many milestones, the IM sector will also be launching its 2050 Roadmap – looking ahead at how it can continue to help building a sustainable future for us all. In this regard, we are pleased to be welcoming industry representatives who will be presenting some highly illustrative case studies. Futurist Philippe Destatte will be outlining, the societal challenges and major trends forecast by the UN Millennium Project that may impact European industry.
We will be organizing a roundtable of industry thinkers who will be addressing how to secure the future for the extractive industry in Europe; what framework conditions we need to fulfil; what role for the industrial minerals industry will play; how we sustain growth and jobs in Europe, while being competitive on the global marketplace. It promises to be an interesting debate, in which we hope to engage the audience – please feel free to send us any questions you would like to see addressed.
Finally, we will be hosting the IMA Recognition and IMA Safety Awards ceremony to acknowledge and promote outstanding initiatives that help raise awareness about the IM sector's the positive contribution and/or promote best practices.
