It is advised that you contact your travel agent or the nearest embassy or consulate to determine what Visas or other travel documentation may be necessary.


Visa Information

According to the Sri Lanka Department of Immigration & Emigration (DI&E), effective January 1st 2012, all Holiday or Business travelers to Sri Lanka must have Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter the country with the exception of nationals from Singapore, Maldives and Seychelles.

You can submit your ETA application online to the Department of Immigration & Emigration; or for travelers who wish to visit Sri Lanka without prior ETA approval, a limited facility to obtain ETA at Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA), Colombo is available.

If your application is approved, the ETA will be issued for up to 30 days from the date of arrival and it can be extended up to six months.

All ETA holders should fulfill the following requirements at the port of entry.

•    A passport valid for not less than 6 months from the date of arrival.
•    A confirmed return ticket.
•    Sufficient funds to meet the expenses during the stay.

Letter of Invitation Information
 
To obtain a Letter of Invitation to process your visa application, you must first register for the IFLN Network 21st Membership Conference. From the Registration webpage, complete all registration and passport/visa fields in order to generate your Letter of Invitation. Please note that all official Letters of Invitation are printable an available in `PDF` format, unless otherwise requested to Network@ifn.net.

It is strongly recommended for your office to select an alternate delegate as a standby should the original representative be unable to attend the IFLN Network's 21st Membership Conference due to VISA related issues.

The government of Sri Lanka requires proof of yellow fever vaccination only if you are arriving from a country with risk of yellow fever.  For more information on recommendations and requirements on vaccinations, please check with your local travel agency or nearest consulate or embassy to determine if you may be required to get any vaccination.

Bandaranaike International Airport (airport Code CMB) at Katunayake is the main International Airport in Sri Lanka, which is located just 30 kilometers north of the Island Nation's Capital of Colombo.

The airport serves as a hub for SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, who provide flights to various Indian cities as well as to major Middle Eastern, Asian and European destinations.
