Mr. Dave Bakker
President, Europe
SITA

Dave Bakker was appointed President, Europe, in March 2012.

Prior to this Dave was Senior Vice President, SITA Global Services, a post he held from 2008. In this role he led an organization of over 2,000 SITA staff, driving a customer first culture that has resulted in 98% of customers being satisfied with SITA and its services.

Prior to joining SITA, Dave spent 10 years with Dell Inc., where he held leadership roles in both Europe and Asia. He has extensive managerial experience with innovative customer service delivery models as well as hands-on experience implementing large-scale Customer Relationship Management technologies.

He is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

 
Paul Boyle
Director for Wireless and Mobility Solutions
SITA

Paul is currently Portfolio Director for Wireless and Mobility Solutions within SITA.

He leads the Mobility Product Management Team and is primarily responsible for the development and execution of SITA's Mobility Strategy. He is focused on growing SITA's business across mobile devices, wireless and cellular connectivity and mobile application integration.

Paul joined SITA in 2002 and has held leadership positions across product management and regional business management.  He has over 16 years experience in the IT and Telecommunications industry, and has worked with companies such as BT, Cable and Wireless, Telstra and KPNQwest  in positions across Europe and Asia Pacific.

Paul graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Queen's University, Belfast and has subsequently studied with The Chartered Institute of Marketing and Aston University (UK).

Paul is currently based in the UK.

 
Mr David Bulman
Director of Technology
Virgin Atlantic
David is the Director of Technology at Virgin Atlantic and sits on the management board for the airline. 

David is an experienced IT professional with a wide span of strategic, technical and commercial expertise and a background in global systems project implementation and infrastructure management.  Prior to joining Virgin Atlantic, David held a number of senior IT roles, most recently in the Media and Advertising sectors

In 2012 the Rome airport system made of Fiumicino and Ciampino has received nearly 42 million passengers with about 230 destinations around the world reached from Rome with over 100 airlines operating in the two airports.
 
Mr Dimitry Chuyko

Dmitry Chuyko Is currently CEO at S7 Travel Retail since 2011 and Member of the Board Directors at S7 Information Technologies.

Previosly he has been Advisor to the CEO (E-Business), always at S7 Airlines, Chef Executive Officer and E-Business Director and Head of Ecommerce. His experience allowed S7 to grow revenue from the online and direct channels, build the first Russian airline e-Commerce platform and grew online sales penetration to 30% in 6 years.

Dmitry has a Master degree in Engineering Technology from Novosibirsk State Technical University (NSTU).
 
Mr Ian Dawkins
CEO
OnAir

Ian Dawkins was appointed Chief Executive Officer of OnAir in June 2010. 


With more than 20 years’ experience in the aeronautical industry, he is determined to make OnAir the undisputed leader in onboard connectivity solutions.


Ian started his career with commercial system controls and then moved into aircraft control and landing systems with Fairey Hydraulics, as Head of Programme Management.

 
Mrs Lena Erneling Albers
Manager on Ground Products
SAS

Lena Erneling Albers holds a position as Manager for SAS On-Ground “off airport” products including mobile services. 

She joined SAS in 1985 and has 29 years of experience from the airline industry. During her career she has had several positions within SAS. Most of her work has been related to product development and design in a wide range of areas including cabin interior, passenger seats, in-flight services and - for the last eight years - on ground products. 

Currently, Lena is responsible for SAS web- and mobile-check in, flight info SMS and SAS Smart Pass. Lena has a Master of Science in Ergonomics from Loughborough University in England.

 
Mr Andrey L. Gorbunov
Professor, Adviser to Rector's Office
Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation

Andrey L. Gorbunov  is a professor and an adviser to rector’s office at the Moscow State Technical University of Civil Aviation.

Since 2009 he has been the leader in a series of augmented reality projects united by the idea of flight safety improvement. He is an author of over 80 research publications and patents, among them there is a paper on the AR subject in October 2014 issue of “Aerospace Science and Technology”.

 
Mr Athar Husain Khan

Association of European Airlines

A graduate from the University of Leiden with a degree in International Law, Athar also specialised in Air and Space Law. 

In June 2011 he was appointed Deputy Secretary General of AEA and as of June 1st 2012 he became the Acting Secretary General.  In December 2013 he assumed the position of Chief Executive Officer.

 
Mrs Catherine Mayer
Vice President Airports, SITA
Catherine is the primary liaison for SITA with airport industry organizations, ensuring SITA's availability and support for committees, conferences and industry missions. She is an active participant in Airports Council International (ACI). 
Previously Catherine was responsible for developing and leading the Airport Services solution line including the financial results of the global business, strategy, product portfolio, implementation, customer satisfaction and improving the business to ensure SITA continues to meet the needs of the ever-changing air transport industry. 
 
Mr Andrew O'Connor
Portfolio Director, Airports
SITA
Andrew has more than 20 years experience in the ATI and joined SITA in 2010. He is now responsible for SITA's portfolio of passenger and baggage related airport products. 
 
Robert O'Meara
Director of Media & Communications
ACI Europe

Robert O’Meara is the Director of Media & Communications at European airport trade body, Airports Council International Europe. He has 15 years experience of communications and creative project management experience, including website design, new media strategies, print production, film production and press relations.
Robert holds a degree in European Politics and Economics from the University of Limerick, Ireland. His previous employers include Aéroports de Paris, Microsoft, Silver Apples Media - a start-up he co-founded and ran for 3 years - and G.E. Capital. Immediately prior to joining ACI EUROPE, Robert worked for DG Research at the European Commission (2004–2007) where he was responsible for communications activities covering 4 different policy areas.

Robert is a member of the International Association of Business Communicators and the European Aviation Club. He has a keen interest in international politics, as well as film, music and creative technology.

 
Nigel Pickford
Director, Marketing Operations and Market Insight
SITA

Nigel is an experienced B2B marketing and strategic planning professional, with over 28 years experience in Air Transport, including seventeen years within SITA. Originally employed by GEC Avionics as a radar system design engineer, Nigel progressed into flight simulation and training in the late 1980’s, where he held the roles of technical sales manager and, later, lead marketer for Hughes Rediffusion’s full flight simulators.

Nigel joined SITA in 1996 where he has held multiple marketing roles. Today, Nigel is SITA’s Director, Marketing Operations and Market Insight. His responsibilities include SITA’s Industry Trends research, inclusive of the Baggage report, Passenger IT Trends Survey, and SITA’s Airline and Airport IT trends surveys. He is also responsible for arranging the Insight Sessions at SITA’s IT Summit and manages SITA’s long-standing Customer Advisory Board.

Nigel holds a Masters degree in electrical and electronic engineering, from the University of Bath, England.

 
Mr Thomas Schnalke
Managing Director

After studying at the University of Lüneburg, Thomas Schnalke graduat-ed in Business Economics.

From 1987 to 1993 he gained experience as controller and executive with Franz Haniel & Cie. GmbH and ELG Haniel GmbH. He worked with the Eisenlegierungs Handelsgesellschaft mbH as Head of the Commer-cial Department from 1993 to 1998. In 1999 he joined the airport busi-ness as Head of the Commercial Department at Hochtief AirPort GmbH and in November 2001 was appointed Managing Director at Düsseldorf International Airport.

Among others, he was instrumental in the process of outsourcing the IT department which now operates as a self-contained associated company.

David is co-founder, Business Development Director and CFO of FastTrack Company, which has developed eTag and eTrack, an electronic bagtag and global baggage track & trace system. He started his career in the financial industry. 
In 2006, David founded an internet company which he sold in 2009. After this, based on their experiences as a heavy air-travellers the co-founders of FastTrack Company conceived of the ideas of eTag and eTrack, ultimately leading to the inception of the company in 2011.
 
Mr Albert van Veen
CIO
Schiphol Group
Albert van Veen is CIO at Schiphol Group since August 2014. Schiphol Group operates airports and is active on both a national and international scale. Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is its principal airport. 
The IT department delivers IT technology services to the Amsterdam Airport Schiphol business area’s Aviation, Consumers, Real Estate (Airport City) and the staff departments. Previously Albert was in charge of the IT infrastructure for the new ING European Insurance company as Chief Technology Officer
