The International Cargo Handling Coordination Association, founded in 1952, is an independent, not-forprofit organisation dedicated to improving the productivity, safety, security and sustainability a of cargo handling and goods movement by all modes and through all phases of national and international supply chains.
ICHCA International represents its members, and the cargo handling industry at large, in front of national and international agencies and regulatory bodies, including IMO, ILO, UN ECE and others. It operates through a series of autonomous national and regional chapters - ICHCA Australia, ICHCA Japan, ICHCA Canarias/Africa (CARC) - to provide focal points to educate industry leaders and share knowledge.
The Responsible Packaging Management Association of Southern Africa (RPMASA) is a non-profit dedicated to the proper and safe packaging, labelling and transport of industrial and retail chemicals and chemical products in southern Africa. It provides information, training, auditing and consulting services to assist industry members with supply chain compliance. Alongside its work with South Africa's national government, RPMASA is the only industry body from Africa with a seat on the UN Committee of Experts for the Transport of Dangerous Goods.
The South African Maritime Safety Authority (SAMSA) aims to lead and champion South Africa’s maritime interests as custodians and stewards of maritime policy, vigorous promoters of the maritime sector and giving full and complete effect to our obligations for the benefit of all stakeholders. It also aims to promote South Africa’s maritime interests and development and position the country as an international Maritime Centre while ensuring maritime safety, health and enviromental protection.
