Purchase a leap card?
A leap card is  a reusable plastic smart card that can be used instead of paper tickets to pay-as-you-go for transport in Dublin

You can register your Leap Card online, so if it's lost or stolen, no one else can use it. Once you register, you can also see your card history and buy Travel Credit online.

Where do you buy when you arrive?
Most convenience stores allow you to top up or purchase when they display the leap card logo.
If you are coming into Dublin Airport you can buy your Leap Card in a number of shops in the arrivals hall before taking the bus, in Terminal 1 = Easons & Kiosk and at Terminal 2 = Spar.
YOU choose the amount you wish to put on your card and you can choose from €5 - €150.
Other places to buy Leap Card for Adults and Children are at over 400 Leap Card agents around Dublin identified by the Leap Card logo on display.

Access from Dublin Airport to DCU ( Conference campus)

Taxi
The most convenient way to DCU Campus Residence from the Airport is by Taxi payable by the guest, a journey of about 20 minutes. Taxis are readily available outside Dublin Airport terminals, please ask the driver to take the Ballymun Road entrance onto the campus.
Average price is €15 (Euro) 

From the Airport by Bus to DCU
For anyone who wants to use public transport from the airport to DCU the following buses are available: 16A, 41, 41A, 41B, 41C. Ask the bus driver to let you out at Whitehall and then walk 10 minutes along Collins Avenue to Dublin City University. Once on campus please follow the signs for the Campus Residences Reception if staying on campus. 

Access from Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre

If you are not staying on campus but in Dublin City centre: 

Aircoach
The Aircoach service operates a service from Dublin Airport to Dublin City Centre and return.
Tickets can be purchased on line. Further details available at www.aircoach.ie Prices range from €7 single to €12 return.

Dublin Bus
Dublin Bus offers a high frequency services from Dublin Airport to the City Centre and all around Dublin.

Local Public Transport

DCU is serviced by the following buses, which stop outside the University at the Ballymun Road and Collins Avenue Extension entrances or near to the University, with stops on the Swords Road, Glasnevin Avenue and Collins Avenue West (all short walking distances to DCU).
