Throughout the conference there will be discussion on a wide range of human rights issues that are of particular relevance to our society today.

Our expert panel, with Alan Miller SHRC and Anthony Speaight QC, will debate the whether or not the UK should repeal the current European Convention on Human Rights Act 1998 in favour of our own Human Rights Act. What would this mean for Scotland and the profession? - especially when we consider the significant constitutional change happening in Scotland at this moment in time.

Delegates will have the opportunity for in depth discussion with our speakers the issue of children and the police, with particular emphasis on practice and procedures while at police stations. As well as wider conversation on the human rights issues facing Scotland today.
