Partha Ghosh is a Senior Advisor to
Schlumberger Business Consulting and enjoys Advisory role with multiple
prestigious organizations worldwide. He is also currently active in the
academia at the Tufts University (Gordon Institute for Engineering Leadership
and the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy) on Innovation and Technology
management, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology on Leadership. As an active writer and inspiring public
speaker, Partha has delivered more than hundred key note addresses in
significant leadership forums around the world on issues related to Strategic Technology and Innovation management, Leadership & Ethics, Corporate governance and
Economic development.
With more than 35 years of management consulting experience in technology-based and energy industries across the Americas, Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and Middle-east, Partha is respected by leaderships of Corporates and Governments as an innovative problem solver and as an inspirational speaker/mentor. Examples of his experience( from more than four dozen of strategic engagements worldwide) includes: • Developing and implementing Global Technology and R&D Strategy for a Japanese chemicals company including building strategic alliances to secure number one position in the target industry sectors by fundamentally changing the technology development model along the technology life cycles – nascent through emerging to maturing technologies • Defining global strategy for an Energy and Petrochemicals company in to improve its profitability from 3.5% to 7.8% within a period of 2 years, through innovative restructuring of hard and soft assets including IP/knowledge management, and in turn enhance the market capitalization of the company several folds • Helping an Energy and Petrochemicals company develop a new processes for R&D management to significantly increase technological and commercial yield of R&D investments • Designing and developing a new organization scheme across the energy value chain, including board structure and membership supporting processes for a major state-owned oil company in South East Asia • Assisting the modernization of one of the oldest manufacturing company of the world to adopt new management tools while fully preserving the DNA traits of its heritage • Organizing and leading more than two dozen leadership development programs for Boards and senior/middle managements of organizations He is the Chairman of The Boston Pledge a non-profit organization dedicated to inspire entrepreneurship at the base of the pyramid. Previously, Ghosh was a partner at McKinsey & Company (1977 to 1990) and ran his own boutique advisory firm Partha S Ghosh & Associates focused on policy and strategic issues. He has two advanced Engineering and Management degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He did his undergraduate work in Chemical Engineering at Indian Institute of Technology. |
