Nadeem Rahman, MD, is the Chair of Critical Care Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He oversees the evaluation and management of medical, surgical and neurological critically ill patients. He also serves as an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Rahman was the Vice-Chief for the Center of Critical Care and the Director of the Surgical Intensive Care Unit at the Cleveland Clinic. He previously served as the Interim Director of Medina Intensive Care Unit and in 2014 was appointed to Cleveland Clinic Florida as Chief of Surgical Critical Care and became the first Medical Director of the SICU where he helped establish management plans of care for liver transplant, heart transplant and complex neurosurgical patients.

Dr. Rahman received his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Columbus, Ohio. His Core Clinical Clerkships were completed at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, Ohio.

He completed his residency in Anesthesiology followed by a fellowship in Critical Care both at the Cleveland Clinic. He is Triple Board Certified in Anesthesiology, Critical Care and Neurocritical Care.

He resides in Abu Dhabi with his wife and three children. He enjoys coaching, playing sports and traveling with his family

I believe I have exceptional interpersonal skills and personable bedside manner which allows patients have a clear understanding of what is happening to their bodies and how treatment can help them. 

Having worked in busy District General Hospitals and GP surgeries in the UK and abroad, I  gained useful clinical and teaching experience. It was while working as a Gynaecologist, that I realised the impact of continuity of care and then chose General Practice as my specialised field. 

 
Dr. Ossama Salamah

In January 2017, Joint Commission International appointed Dr. Ossama Salamah as the International Sales Manager, currently serves as Director of its Middle East Office located in Dubai, to build and manage strategic relationships with health care organizations, ministries of health, government and international aid agencies, leading academic medical centers and hospitals, and other organizations committed to improving quality and patient safety. 

Dr. Salamah is a pharmacist with more than 14 years of multinational experience in sales, marketing, business development and training within the pharma and health care industries. 

Most recently, he was a senior consultant in a regional health care consultancy firm where he developed technical, marketing and financial feasibility studies for health care projects. Prior to that, he was a business unit manager for Wholesale and Pharma in Planet Pharmacies, one of the leading companies in UAE. He managed a portfolio of 400 products, more than 2,000 SKUs and a sales team of 30+ employees. He successfully over-delivered a budget of 110 million USD.  

He has also served in a variety of sales and marketing leadership positions in regional and multinational businesses such as Eli Lilly Suisse, Novo Nordisk and Pfizer. He has a proven track record of succeeding in competitive markets with consistent budget over achievement.   

Among his core competencies are consistent demonstration of sound business judgment, decisiveness, well-developed planning, strong communication skills and a high level of performance in a variety of progressively responsible and challenging assignments. 

He is a recognized trainer who has delivered more than 50 training courses to large organizations including United Arab Emirates Ministry of Health, American Hospital Dubai, Mediclinic Middle East, Dubai Gold Exchange, Emirates NBD and more.

Jacqueline Yammine

Jacqueline Yammine, MN, RN, is the Senior Manager for the Case Management Department and the Program Manager for Patient and Family Education (PFE) Program at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi (CCAD) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). She has developed a comprehensive post discharge phone call program as part of a new service line in CCAD in collaboration with the PFE, Case Management, Clinical Nurse Coordinators, and the Nurse Triage teams. Ms. Yammine is the chair of the Patient and Family Education Committee which manages the creation and the revision of the new patient educational material produced by the CCAD staff.

Mrs. Yammine was the first case manager joining pre-operational CCAD in August 2014. She helped develop the Case Management department, assisted in the development of multiple processes, policies and procedures and helped in the preparedness of many units prior to opening. Between 2005 and 2014, Mrs. Yammine was a Case Manager in a governmental community health services center in the city of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Between the years 2000-2004, she worked in UAE in Jazzirah and Mafraq Hospital. 

Mrs. Yammine is a candidate for the Doctor of Nursing Practice at Case Western Reserve University with an expected graduation date of December 2019. She earned her BSN in 2000 from the American University of Beirut (Beirut, Lebanon) and a MN in 2012 from Athabasca University (Alberta, Canada). 

Mrs. Yammine received an Individual Excellence Award - Quarter 2, 2015, a Team’s Excellence Award – Quarter 3 2016 and a Team’s Excellence Award - Quarter 2 2017 at CCAD

Dr Hisham Hassan Abdelwahab, MBBS

Dr Hisham received his medical degree from University of Gezira, Sudan in 1993, followed by his certification in General Medicine Professional Training, Ireland and Membership of the Royal College of Physicians from UK in 1999. He acquired the Masters in Nephrology (MMedSci) from Sheffield University, U.K in 2004 and later (CCST) General Medicine & Nephrology from Post Graduate Medical and Training Board, UK in (2007-2010).

He has more than 20 years of experience in the field of Nephrology, General Medicine and Treatment. He has served as a Head of nephrology and a consultant at Prince Sultan Military Hospital Medina, Saudi Arabia and also active part of kidney transplantation programme. He has several publications.

Christine Macdonell

Chris began her varied career in the health care industry as an occupational therapist after graduating from the University of Southern California. While in California, she became an administrator of a full rehabilitation continuum of care. Chris came to CARF in 1991. She has served as the Managing Director of Medical Rehabilitation and International Medical Rehabilitation and Aging Services during her time with CARF. Chris is a Fellow of the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine. Chris has represented CARF at international, national, regional and local meetings to promote and interpret standards and the use of accreditation as a quality business and clinical strategy throughout the continuum of care.
