Keith Bachman Head of US High Yield Aberdeen Asset Management Keith Bachman is a Senior Portfolio Manager and Head of US High Yield. Bachman joined Aberdeen in 2007 from Stone Tower Capital where he was Director of Credit Research. Previously, Mr Bachman was a Portfolio Manager at Deutsche Asset Management and High Yield Analyst/Director of Distressed Investments at Oppenheimer Funds. Mr Bachman has also worked at Merrill Lynch Asset Management and T. Rowe Price in high yield credit. He graduated with a BA from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and an MBA from Columbia Business School. |

Leah Bennett Co-Chief Investment Officer South Texas Money Management Leah Bennett, CFA, joined South Texas Money Management in 2013 and serves as Co-Chief Investment Officer. She, along with Jeanie Wyatt, CFA, is responsible for overseeing the investment strategies of the firm. Ms Bennett has a strong background in risk management and will enhance the global research efforts of the investment team at STMM. In addition, she works with Christian Ledoux, CFA, Director of Equity Research, in helping oversee and coordinate the equity research efforts of STMM’s team of research analysts. Ms Bennett brings to the firm a total of 21 years of experience in the investment business. Prior to joining STMM, she spent 18 years with King Investment Advisors, Inc. in Houston, where she was a Managing Director and Chief Investment Officer, as well as a member of the firm’s Investment Advisory Group. Prior to that, Ms Bennett was a research analyst for Capital Research & Management in Los Angeles.
Ms Bennett graduated from Texas A&M University with a BS in Economics, and is a CFA® Charterholder and a Chartered Investment Counselor. She currently serves as the CFA Institute Presidents Council Representative for the South Central United States and Latin America, and is a former President and Director of the CFA Society of Houston. Ms Bennett is a member of the CFA Institute and co-founder of the CFA Institute-Texas Investment Research Challenge, and formerly served as Chairman of the organization’s education committee.

Matt Fitzsimmons Vice President, Investments True North Advisors Matt E. Fitzsimmons is an owner and one of the original members of the True North team. Mr Fitzsimmons is Vice President, Investments and leads the firm’s investment group, which is responsible for the ongoing due diligence of existing and potential investment options, as well as portfolio construction efforts. In his role, Mr Fitzsimmons is responsible for building out the value-based investment philosophy that the firm employs and the construction of the functional asset class framework. He is also a member of the Investment Policy Committee. Mr Fitzsimmons earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at Southern Methodist University, where he was also a member of the men’s basketball team. Shortly after graduation, he went to work at Lockwood Financial. It was there that he forged a strong relationship with True North founders Scott Wood and Mark Gehlbach, ultimately joining them when the firm was launched in 2000. Mr Fitzsimmons has spent his entire career in investment and manager research, and strategic portfolio analytics.

Matthew Jachimiak, CFA, CAIA Partner, Senior Portfolio Manager Durbin Bennett Peterson | Private Wealth Management, LLC Matt Jachimiak is a Senior Portfolio Manager with Durbin Bennett Peterson Private Wealth Management LLC. His primary responsibilities include securities analysis, money manager research/evaluation, asset allocation modeling, financial markets research, hedge fund and other alternative strategy research, analysis and due diligence. Mr Jachimiak began his career working for Enron Corp as part of the Analyst/Associate Program. His responsibilities at Enron included evaluation of private equity investments into energy-intensive industries and managing a long/short equity portfolio as a member of an internal hedge fund. Mr Jachimiak holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering and Petroleum Refining from the Colorado School of Mines in Golden, Colorado as well as an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a CFA charterholder and has earned the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation. |

William Maxwell
Professor of Finance, Rauchser Chair of Financial Investments Cox School of Business, Southern Methodist University William Maxwell is a Professor of Finance at the Cox School of Business. He holds the Mary Jo Vaughn Rauscher Chair in Financial Investments and is the Director of the Don Jackson Center for Financial Studies and the EnCap Investments & LCM Group Alternative Asset Management Center. Dr Maxwell has taught at the University of Arizona, Texas Tech, Georgetown and George Washington University. His undergraduate degree is from Indiana University and he received his MBA at the University of Colorado in 1988. Before studying for the PhD, Dr Maxwell worked for five years specializing in mergers & acquisitions and corporate valuations. He received his PhD from the George Washington University in 1998. Dr Maxwell's research has focused on both corporate finance and investment topics, and his work has been published in the premier finance, accounting and economics journals. He has published two books, Leveraged Financial Markets: Leveraged Loans, High Yield Bonds & Credit Default Swaps, McGraw-Hill, 2011 and High Yield Bonds: Market Structure, Portfolio Management, and Credit Risk Modeling, 1999. |
Patrick O'Connor SVP, Chief Investment Officer Cook Children's Health Care System Patrick B. O’Connor is Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for Cook Children’s HealthCare System in Fort Worth, Texas where he currently oversees more than $1.5 billion in total assets. He is responsible for the management of the hospital system’s assets including the endowment and operating capital. Prior to joining Cook Children’s, he was the Chief Investment Officer for the University of Arizona where he was responsible for the management of the endowment and operating capital. Previous to that, Mr O'Connor served as an investment manager and research analyst for M&I Portfolio Services in Las Vegas where he helped to oversee approximately $13 billion in assets. He was the recipient of Mid-Size Non-Profit of the Year award and Rising Stars of Foundations & Endowments award in 2009 while at the University of Arizona as well as Institutional Investor’s Endowment/Foundation of the Year award in 2011 while at Cook Children’s. He is currently a board member at Communities Foundation of Texas, Capital for Kids, and the YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth Endowment. Mr O'Connor has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of New Mexico and has completed post-graduate courses at London Business School as well as the University of Arizona. |
