Overview

The AELP Higher Level Skills special interest group is an exclusive forum event for members of AELP to attend.

The aim of the Higher Level Skills forum is to capture the views and common interest of members involved in the development and delivery of Higher Apprenticeships provision and Higher Level Awards.




The forum takes account of Employer Ownership of Skills Pilot, Richard Review of Apprenticeships, and the Whitehead Review of Adult Vocational Qualifications, against the backdrop of new policy developments and ministerial announcements on the direction of learning and skills, employer ownership, and the impact on the sector for learners, employers and the community.

The agenda will include discussions on such items as:

  • Employer Ownership Pilots
  • Single Adult Skills Budget for 19+ and over 24+ learners
  • Department policy implementation 
  • Commissioning, procurement and delivery
  • Invited speakers from the sector and government funding agencies
