'A Brave New World: Navigating Risk, Compliance & Quality in a Deregulated Environment'

Forum topics will take a broad view of the proposed changes and their impact on students, the international education market, the private sector and the way that universities will approach the new environment. Other topics include how the new higher education standards will fit in and the view from another services industry that has been deregulated. A high level panel discussion will be a highlight of the day.

Speakers include:Emeritus Professor Kwong Lee Dow, Emeritus Professor Alan Robson,Chair Higher Education Standards Panel, Associate Professor Leesa Wheelahan, University of Toronto, ANU’s Professor Bruce Chapman (the architect of HECS),  Dr George Brown (a leading figure in the private sector and Group Academic Director, Australasia with StudyGroup), Dr Emmaline Bexley, University of Melbourne, Mrs Christina Magri from RMIT, Mr Jeffrey Smart, Vice President International and Future Students,Swinburne University and Julie Hare, higher education editor at The Australian.       

The Forum starts at 9am and finishes at 3.40pm and is part of a two-day HES event with the inaugural Peer Review of Assessment Network being held on November 12.  Download the program and share with your colleagues.

Registration for the Deregulation Forum is just $295 representing great value for delegates while attendance for both events is $495 with an option to network with colleagues at a dinner on November 12 for $85.

Registration costs reflect HES's policy which aims to ensure its events are affordable and inclusive and foster collaboration.  Any profit generated is injected back into the sector.
