The 2017 Annual Groningen Declaration Network (GDN) Meeting will be held in the vibrant, cosmopolitan city of Melbourne, Australia from 26 to 28 April under the theme Extending Engagement.
Signatories to the Groningen Declaration from across the globe will attend the meeting which will be held at The University of Melbourne, one of Australia's oldest universities. At the forefront of tertiary education and research in Australia, the University of Melbourne maintains its reputation for excellence, currently ranking number 1 in Australia (Academic Ranking of Universities 2015) and number 33 in the world (Times Higher Education Rankings 2015-2016).

Twenty countries world-wide have signed the Groningen Declaration which aims to enhance student mobility and provide credential integrity and security for digital student academic data globally. Universities across Australia and New Zealand have been collaborating to give meaning to and realise the goals and aspirations of the Groningen Declaration.
