RACE RULES

 

Rule #1: Be kind to each other!  All participants are welcome.  Men, woman, children, fast, slow, runner, walker, old, and young.               


Rule #2: Enjoy and have FUN!

 

AWARDS

The first 150 pre-registered participants will be awarded a Catch The Leprechaun T-shirt.  


The top 3 in Age Group 6 - 10 will receive  an award.  The top 3 male and female finishers in the following Age Groups will also be receiving an award.


·         11-19

·         20-29

·         30-39    

·         40-49

·         50-59

·         60 and Over


The top 3 consolidated times for 2 and 3 person teams will also receive awards.


There will also be awards for the Best Green Costumes!


 

CELL PHONES, HEADPHONES & iPODS

For reasons of safety, we strongly discourage participants from using any such devices during the race. If you feel that you must have one with you, please keep the volume low so that you can hear vehicular traffic, instructions from police or course marshals, and comments from nearby runners.

 

CANCELLATION

If you cannot participate, the entry fee is not refundable and non-transferable to next year’s event. We will, however, allow the entry to be transferred to another participant. In the event that the entry is not used for the 2014 event, we will be happy to provide you a t-shirt from the race, written request is required. For a mailing and handling fee of $10.00, you can have a t-shirt mailed to your home. Send us the request via email or regular mail, including your name, street address, phone number, and t-shirt size.

 

WHERE DOES MY REGISTRATION FEE GO?

Your registration fees help to pay for the necessary permits, supplies, and personnel who organize the event weekend.
 
DO I NEED TO BE A RUNNER TO DO THIS?
Oh my goodness, No! There are plenty of other great 5Ks out there to test speed and performance. This event is all about Moms and spending time with friends and family. You can run, walk, crawl, or cartwheel if you wish! This event will be a timed Fun Run.
 

CAN I RUN WITH A JOGGLING STROLLER AND MY KIDS?

ALL CHILDREN UNDER 16 MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY AN ADULT AT ALL TIMES. All children 5 and under can run with an adult FREE of charge and do not need to register!

 

CAN I RUN WITH MY DOG?

NO DOGS at the race.

 

IS THERE AN AGE LIMIT FOR YOUNGER RUNNERS?

No age limits  If they can cover (running, jogging, walking, strolling) the 3 miles of the course they can absolutely do the 5K! Remember though, as soon as they turn 6 they will need to register and have a race bib!

 

IS CATCH THE LEPRECHAUN 5K TIMED?

The runners participating in this event will be timed. You will receive your race bib with number and bar code.
