Michael D. Aiona, MD
Michael D. Aiona, MD completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Utah Medical Center followed by a year of fellowship training in pediatric orthopaedics at the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Greenville, SC. Dr. Aiona worked at the Shriners Hospitals for Children in Lexington, KY for two years. Since 1986, he has worked at Shriners Hospitals for Children-Portland and now serves as the Chief of Staff. He is the Director of the Movement Analysis Laboratory and Clinical Research Department. His clinical expertise is in managing children with Cerebral Palsy and myelodyspasia, limb length inequality, club feet, lower extremity deformities and gait abnormalities.

Dr. Aiona serves as Associate Editor of Gait and Posture and is a reviewer for JBJS, JPO, and DMCN and has or is serving on several committees within the AACPDM.
