Sustaining Growth in Challenging Times

Building on the success of the 2012 inaugural event, the Financial Times and its partners FTfm and Ignites Asia are organising the second FT Asset Management Summit in Hong Kong on 5 June 2013.

Against a background of continuing global financial and economic volatility, the 2013 Summit will take forward the agenda-setting discussions from the first event and drill more deeply into the key challenges facing asset managers in Asia and how they are turning those challenges into opportunities across mature and emerging markets and different sectors and asset classes.

The Summit will closely explore the demands of Asia’s pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and other institutional investors, as well as intermediaries – how they are selecting their managers and the latest products being developed in fixed income, equities, alternatives and China-related asset classes. In an increasingly competitive marketplace, how are asset managers differentiating themselves against rivals on the ground in Asia and global firms expanding in the region?

The 2013 FT Asset Management Summit will once again feature on-stage keynote interviews and stimulating panel discussions -- chaired by Henny Sender, the FT's Chief International Finance Correspondent; Chris Newlands, Editor of FTfm; and Rita Raagas De Ramos, Managing Editor of Ignites Asia, and involving CEOs and CIOs from top asset management companies as well as key institutional investors and intermediaries, regulators and economists.

The event will cement itself as the most significant calendar entry in Asia’s asset management space.
