Welcome to Le Castellet, France
Côte d'Azur

Welcome to the
2022 European COPA Migration!

Worth the wait! The European Migration originally planned for 2020 is finally here in 2022.

For their 18th European Migration, COPA members, Cirrus pilots, and their friends and families, will be flying to Le Castellet France, LFMQ.

The European Migrations traditionally visit a new country every year – so far we’ve flown to Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, England (twice), France (twice), Germany (twice), Greece, Italy (twice), Jersey, Holland, Slovenia and Spain. Depending on where our members live, sometimes it’s in their backyard, but mostly quite some XC flying is involved – including crossing the Alps and/or the seas.

After having been in Slovenia 2019, the 2022 Migration is will be in Southern France - about five hours flight time from England with a Cirrus. And more and more, COPA members from the USA and other continents are joining, many of them flying in commercially, some hitching a ride in a Cirrus for the last couple hundred miles, to fly-in in style. Our European migrations get more perfect every year and become unforgettable events.

Le Castellet - France

We are excited that we will have our European Migration at the French Riviera in Southern France from May 25 to May 29, 2022. Be invited to join us at a spectacular stretch of blue waters and magnificent coastline with famed cities from Marseille to St. Tropez, Cannes, Nice and Monaco. Experience a backcountry filled with medieval villages, wineries and unspoiled scenery.

Le Castellet

Contrary to the US Migrations, which are centered on the vendor exhibitions and presentations, the Europeans prefer daily excursions to historic landmarks and into nature. The French Riviera has everything to offer - mountains, woodlands, vineyards, lavender fields, and more!

While you read this, the planning committee is still working out some remaining details, but the general plan is finalized! Please see the "Agenda" tab for more details.
