The advent of global competition, the emergence of new economies and the era of technological disruption have created a set of external challenges. Add to the mix an uncertain and rather gloomy domestic policy setting, and the question might be raised as to whether the perfect storm is headed our way. This talk will explore some of these factors in detail focussing on the strategic questions that universities should be asking.
