2017 Crazy Kickball Roster

2017 Crazy Kickball Rules

Registration
• Four team spots will be available in the 2017 Crazy Kickball tournament.
• One team member must sign up the team during the three business day lottery registration.
• Spots will be distributed via a lottery if more than four teams sign up to participate by the cut-off time.
• Team captains will be notified of the results following the lottery and will have one week to finalize their team and confirm their spot, otherwise it will be offered to the next team on the list.

General Play
• Games will be on really small fields and will have mini kickballs
• Games will have an umpire
• Games will be 35 minutes long – yes, longer than the main draw!
• Rock, Paper, Scissors will determine the first up.
• All teams must be co-ed and you need eight players to start the game.
• 3 outs – catch a ball in air, throw to base ahead of runner or hit runner (below shoulders) No head shots, let’s keep this friendly!
• If you ball goes outside the mini field (because you are so strong), that’s an out.
• No cleats (if a player wears cleats, they will not be able to play until they change shoes.)

Pitching
• May be done underhand, between the legs and not bounce too high – starting from the pitcher’s mound.

Catching
• Must be behind home plate and kicker and not interfere with kicker.

Kicking
• Any contact with ball and lower leg is considered a kick.
• 3 strikes or 4 fouls is considered an out. Fouls are not strikes.
• 4 balls is a walk
• Foul balls – Start with a 1 and 1 count, you can kick a total of 3 foul balls before an out is called

Running
• Bases will be in reverse order – starting at 3rd.
• Must stay in the baselines
• Stealing is allowed, but only if you run backwards.
• Running past another runner IS allowed. (They shouldn’t be that slow.)
• Play is over when ball is back with pitcher - all base running must cease.

Game Time Breaker
• If the game is tied after 35 minutes, a kick-off will break the tie. One player from each team will kick the ball, pitched by the opposing team’s pitcher or designated pitcher. The winner will be determined by which ball lands closest to 2nd base.

One extra run will be given to the team with the best cheer at the end of the 2nd inning. So be ready!
AND, we can change, add rules at any time . . .so watch out!

Any questions/conflicts will be resolved by the umpire or via rock/paper/scissors – and decisions are final.
