2017 IHG Foundation Field Day

Got questions about our IHG® Foundation Atlanta Field Day?
We've got answers. . .

Why Are We Having a Field Day?
Our Field Day is in support of the IHG Foundation (formerly IHG® Race Around the World). It is also a fun way for us all to get together and enjoy some time away from the office.

What is the IHG Foundation?
The IHG Foundation is a charitable foundation set up to fund community projects with lasting impact. The IHG Foundation shares the IHG name and also IHG’s long standing commitment to make the communities around IHG’s hotels and corporate offices around the world better places to be for all, but it is independent from IHG’s commercial operations and works to deliver positive change for the public good.

The overall objective of the IHG Foundation is to set the foundations for stronger, healthier, more prosperous communities around the world.

We invite you to learn more at www.ihgfoundationweek.com.

What is IHG Foundation Week?
IHG Foundation Week (formerly IHG Race Around the World) is the week-long global awareness and fundraising event for the IHG Foundation running from September 10 – September 18, 2017.

How Do I Donate?
For each activity a colleague takes part in, IHG will make a donation* into the IHG Foundation on their behalf. There's no limit to the number of activities colleagues can pledge to undertake. The number of activities pledged will be calculated and announced after IHG Foundation Week.
*IHG donations up to USD $350,000.

In addition to Field Day, you have from September 10 - 18th, to participate in IHG Foundation Week. You may pledge any activities for that week at www.ihgfoundationweek.com.

If you or your team take part in a fundraiser for the IHG Foundation, please submit proceeds via http://www.ihgfoundation.org/en-us/donate-now.

How Will My Participation in Field Day Count Toward Pledges?
Everyone who signs up for field day can choose how many activities they will participate in during the field day. We will total them all up and submit one large pledge for the Atlanta offices.

Can I Make Pledges On My Own, Outside of Field Day?
Yes, pledge for any activities you do from September 10 - 18th, at www.ihgfoundationweek.com.

How Do I Get There?
The field day will be held at Morgan Falls Athletic Center in Sandy Springs, off Roswell Road. This year, we are asking everyone to drive – and carpool, if possible as space close to the park will be LIMITED.

We are encouraging carpooling. You can either carpool from the office, or, if you want to go home afterwards, we will have an overflow lot where you can meet your friends, park cars and take one into the Athletic Center.

Any car with four or more colleagues will be able to park in the closest parking lots – space permitting.>

What Do I Do When I Get There?
Once you’ve parked and entered the event, the first thing you’ll do when you arrive is stop by the registration table to pick up a special gift item, and view the map of the facility and activities offered.

I Have a Handicapped Sticker/Plate, Where Do I Park?
There will be reserved handicapped parking spaces. Please alert the staff member when you enter the park that you have a handicapped parking sticker or tag.

Each team will be assigned a color in advance – sent to your team captain. We ask that you submit a team name and all members dress in the team color.

How Will the Kickball Tournament Work?
The tournament will be 25 minute games, single elimination. Winning teams will move on, with the finals at 3:45 p.m. Team captains will receive their schedule about a week before the event – and will organize their team to be there to participate in their games. First round losers will be put into a consolation draw.
