ESVO 2019

VISA & PASSPORTS

Passports - visitors to Ireland from other countries require a passport.

Visas - some visitors to Ireland from other countries may require a visa.  More information can be found on the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Ireland website (click here) and we would advise reviewing this information in advance of travelling.

If you require a visa you may require a letter confirming your booking from the conference desk once you have registered and paid in full. Unfortunately, we cannot issue letters prior to registration being completed and payment being received in full. If you have booked your accommodation through the conference registration system, this information will be included in your letter. We would advise that you book and pay for accommodation for the duration of your stay and if you are booking accommodation elsewhere that you request confirmation from your lodging and include it with your visa application.

Please note that visa applications can take 8+ weeks for Ireland. For further information on visas please see the Irish Naturalisation and Immigration Service website (click here).

You should also note that a Schengen visa or UK visa is not valid for travel to Ireland.

Once you have checked whether or not you need an entry visa through the INIS website you can then proceed to the Department of Justice and Equality website to apply for a visa online.  Please click here  for AVATS online application.

Before beginning the online process, you should have the following information to hand:
1. Passport and details of any previous passports – number, date of issue/expiry
2. Details of any previous Irish visa applications
3. Contact details for your host in Ireland

Following submission of your online visa application using AVATS, please note that you will also be required to submit a signed summary of your application form, original passport, passport-sized colour photograph, the relevant fee and all supporting documents, to the relevant Irish Embassy/Consulate/Visa Office per your application procedures.

Please note that the above content is only provided as an information tool. We cannot advise with regards your individual visa application or whether further delays may occur or regulations change within governmental procedure without notice.

If you require a Visa to travel into Ireland, you are advised to register and complete your application as soon as possible. The conference office at Keynote PCO, nor the conference committee board or any members involved in ESVO 2019 take responsibility for your application.
