Registration Enquiries

How do I make my payment?
Online payments are processed securely by Paypal, and you can pay with either an existing Paypal account or by entering your credit card details (Mastercard and Visa). Instructions are as follows:
1) Once you reach the "Payment Page" in the registration process, you will need to select the "Paypal" payment option.
2) Click the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page. This will take you to your "Registration Record".
3) Click the "Paypal" button at the top of this page. You will then be taken to the Paypal site to make your payment.
4) You will have the option of returning to your "Registration Record" after completing your payment using Paypal.

I’m not sure if my payment went through.
You should have received a payment receipt from PayPal and a confirmation email from EQUIP women. If you didn’t receive either of these emails, then your registration and payment have not been received. If you only received a confirmation email from EQUIP women (and not a PayPal receipt), then it is likely that your payment was not received. You can check the balance owing by clicking the invoice link in your confirmation email. If money is still owing, go to the Modify Your Registration link (also in the confirmation email) and complete the payment process. Your invoice will now show a $0 balance.

Can I swap my elective?
Electives are allocated in order of registration, so we cannot guarantee that you will get your new preference. However, you can modify your registration using the login details provided in your confirmation email. A new registration record with updated ticket and elective selection will be generated at the completion of this process. Please print this replacement ticket.

I've lost my ticket - what should I do?
Your eticket will have been emailed to you at time of registration. Please re-print it and bring it on the day.

What's your policy on refunds?
We do not offer refunds on tickets already purchased. If you are no longer able to attend, you may transfer your ticket to another woman at no further cost. You can do this using the Modify Registration link in your confirmation email and updating the details previously provided. A new confirmation email will not be sent, but a ticket will appear on your Record of Registration page. Please print this for use by the new delegate.

What is a Key Contact?
'Key Contacts' promote the EQUIP conference to groups of women such as their friends, bible study group, church and at their work. We post packets to our Key Contacts several months before the conference with extra brochures and any additional promotional materials available that year. Through personal invitation, word of mouth and the help of our Key Contacts, EQUIP women has grown to over 4000 women attending each year!

What will my contact details be used for?
EQUIP collects personal information about you for the purposes of administering our events. We will use it to contact you in relation to events you are attending, and to occasionally inform you of future events that we believe you might be interested in. Should you receive a marketing email and find that you no longer want to receive this type of contact, you will have the option to ‘unsubscribe’ from future mailings. EQUIP will not pass your personal information on to any third party, except as necessary for the administration of our events.

Both video and still photography is taken at EQUIP conferences for future marketing purposes, and images of delegates may be used in marketing material such as our website and brochures. EQUIP12 will be Live Streamed to remote delegates and crowd shots of the conference will be included. If you do not wish to appear on advertising material, please contact us at enquiries@equip.org.au and let us know.

Program Enquiries

What is the difference between Daylight and Twilight?
The two conferences are the same, just different times. Choose the time that best suits you.

EQUIP daylight (9:00 am – 3:30pm)
A very popular choice for a day out with the girls. Enjoy fantastic Bible teaching, music and interviews, and eat lunch by the harbour. EQUIP daylight also offers an AUSLAN interpreter for the two main talks and an elective.

EQUIP twilight (2:30pm – 7:45pm)
The ideal choice for soccer mums and for those who like a sleep-in after a busy week of work or study. EQUIP twilight has the same great program with its own evening vibe.

I require an AUSLAN interpreter.
We provide accredited Auslan Interpreters during the daylight session (the Main Auditorium also has a hearing loop). The most popular elective (to be held in the Main Auditorium) will have Auslan Interpreters. Please let us know at the time of registration if you require an AUSLAN interpreter.

What facilities are available for mums and bubs?
Mothers who are nursing babies are very welcome to bring them to EQUIP. The Sydney Convention Centre is easily accessible for mums with prams via lifts on each level and ramps throughout. A crying room with video linkage to the main conference will be available, and there is plenty of foyer space for walking with prams. Please make use of these facilities should your baby become upset. Our team of friendly ushers will direct you to the best place to sit with your baby and pram, and assist you in accessing the crying room. Please let us know at the time of registration if you will be bringing your baby to the conference.

Are there childcare facilities for older children?
Unfortunately, we do not have facilities to be able to care for toddlers or older children. However, nursing babies are very welcome, with special facilities for Mums with Bubs.

What if I have special access requirements?
We make every effort to provide assistance for those with disability requirements. For example, the Exhibition centre is fully wheelchair accessible and we have accredited AUSLAN Interpreters during the daylight session (the Main Auditorium also has a hearing loop). If you require other disability assistance please specify this at time of registration, or email us at enquiries@equip.org.au after registering to advise us of your needs and we’ll be only too glad to help.

 Live Video Stream Enquiries

What do I need to do before I register for EQUIP12 Live Stream?
PLEASE follow the instructions to test your internet speed at the location/venue where you will be watching EQUIP12 on May 19th. If the broadband is not fast enough on your end, you will not be able to view the live stream successfully and we will not be able to do anything to help you.

Can EQUIP12 be live streamed on my iPhone, iPad or Android device?
Yes. Click here to get more information.

You will need to also make sure that your mobile device will have sufficient internet download speed to view the live stream successfully.

Look for a speed test app for your chosen device.  You should test a live stream before the day of EQUIP.

How much data will I use to stream to whole conference?
USTREAM TV uses variable compression based on movement, so it is difficult to estimate how much data will be used. Our maximum usage estimate is 250MB per hour. We have rounded this number up to be safe. Therefore, 6 hours viewing time might use approximately 1.5GB.

Will I receive the Conference Booklet?
A pdf of the booklet will be emailed to you a couple of weeks before the conference.  We will also put this on our website for download.  Feel free to print off as many copies as you require.

If you would like to save on printing costs, you can just print the notes pages for Lisa and Di’s Main talks and the elective that we will be live streaming on the day.

Which elective will be streamed?
Only the elective held in the main auditorium will be streamed. This will be the most popular elective as chosen by conference attendees.

Will both Daylight and Twilight conferences be streamed?
Yes, you will be able to view either time slot. We are, however, asking that you indicate which conference you intend to view at time of registration.

I have separate groups from my church interested in meeting at different venues for live streaming.  Should I register as one church group?
Each group meeting at different venues will need to register separately.

After I’ve registered, can I “upgrade” to a different group category if numbers in my group increase?
Yes, you can manage any changes to your registrations online and make additional payments.

Do I have to register each individual in my group?
No, just the key contact for the group needs to register for the size group that will be viewing on 19 May.

Can I register my group now even though my final numbers might change?
Yes. We suggest that you make an initial estimate of the size of your group.  If numbers subsequently increase well into the next price category, please modify your registration online and pay the balance.

The video looks "choppy," I am experiencing "lag", or the video is "pausing" or "stopping and going."  How do I fix this?
There are many possible causes of this. The most common is insufficient bandwidth on your computer. To see what your bandwidth is, click here then click "Los Angeles".

We recommend having a download speed of at least 1Mbps for smooth playback.

We have incredibly fast upload speeds at the Sydney Convention Centre, but if the internet speed is not sufficient on your end, there is nothing we can do to fix this for you.

My video quality was poor on conference day. Can I get a refund?
We have incredibly fast upload speeds at the Sydney Convention Centre, and are unable to offer refunds if the internet speed or audiovisual set-up was insufficient at your end. In the unlikely event of technical difficulties at our end, we will contact our Live Video Stream delegates to come to a suitable arrangement.

Will we be able to listen to the music at the conference?
Yes, hopefully!  We are currently addressing some copyright issues which may result in us not being able to broadcast the music during the conference.  If we are not allowed to stream the music, we will provide you with a song list in advance so that you may organise to sing the same songs at your location, if you wish.

For any other questions or concerns about Live Video Streaming, please email us.
