HIV Endgame: Stopping the Syndemics that Drive HIV

How much does it cost to attend HIV Endgame: Stopping the Syndemics that Drive HIV?
General registration is $75 CAD.

Who can register for free?
  • Invited speakers and session moderators will receive an email with instructions on how to register for free once they've been confirmed
  • A single presenting author of an accepted abstract (or group of related abstracts) will receive instructions on how to register for free once the abstract has been accepted
  • General attendees can apply for free registration. This option is only open to service providers, nurses, social workers, students and people living with HIV in Ontario, and there are a limited number of free registrations available. To apply for free registration, select "New Registration" and then "Apply for free registration" and complete the registration form. Your approval status will be marked as pending until your application is reviewed.

What happens if my application for free registration is declined?

Although the OHTN would like to make HIV Endgame: Stopping the Syndemics that Drive HIV accessible to everyone, space and funding limitations mean that we cannot approve every application. If your application is declined, you will have the opportunity to either cancel registration or complete general registration for $75.

What happens if more than one author wants to present the same abstract?

We will do our best to facilitate presentations from more than one member of the research team, but only one author will receive free registration. During abstract submission, applicants will be asked to confirm the email address of the presenting author who will receive free registration.

Can I cancel or modify my registration later on?

Yes. When you complete registration (or an application for free registration) you will receive a confirmation email with a reference number. The reference number can be used to log back into the registration website and cancel or modify your registration. If you are unable to attend the conference for any reason after registering, we encourage you to cancel so that your spot can go to someone else. HIV Endgame: Stopping the Syndemics that Drive HIV has a lower registration cap than the annual OHTN Research Conference.

Is travel, hotel and childcare support available?

The OHTN is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships to service providers, nurses, social workers, students and people living with HIV. Preference is normally given to applicants from Ontario. Scholarship applications are separate from applications for free registration, meaning that attendees who wish to apply for both scholarship funding and free registration must complete two forms.
