Luggage Quantity and Weight Restrictions:
 
Amway will reimburse each qualified IBO for two (2) checked pieces of luggage with a maximum weight of 50 pounds per bag. The total reimbursement amount can't exceed $100 per qualified IBO.  You will receive reimbursement in your bonus approximately six to eight weeks after the conclusion of the program.  You do not need to submit a receipt for your checked bags. All charges for additional luggage will be at the expense of the IBO. Check with your airline for specific rates.

If you are missing luggage upon arrival in Maui, please report it to the Special Events Travel Staff before leaving the baggage claim area. They will assist you in completing the necessary forms and enabling the tracking and delivery of your missing bags as soon as possible.

Exception: luggage reimbursement will not be provided for Qualified EDC and above.  Airlines do not charge luggage fees for first class passengers.

Please check with your airline carrier and local airport for travel guidelines and TSA requirements.


Flight Exception Request Form

Executive Diamond Club: February 8–10, 2015 Diamond Club: February 10–15, 2015
After you complete the event preregistration, you will be contacted by Amway Special Events to book your airline tickets.  You must preregister before your tickets can be booked.

Special Requests: Special Events will make every attempt to accommodate your special travel requests, including booking tickets for additional family members, extending travel dates, planning for additional stops, upgrading service class, etc. Any additional costs associated with these requests will be paid by the IBO via credit card at the time of booking. If the booking agent finds that the special request is too extensive, they may request that the IBO self-book the flight, following the exception policy outlined below.

Executive Diamond Service Class Downgrade Options:Executive Diamonds may choose to exchange the value of their first-class airfare to purchase family coach tickets, up to their air allowable amount (see Air Allowable Amount below). Additionally, downgrade incentives may be available for Executive Diamonds who wish to exchange their first-class ticket for a coach ticket. Incentives vary and are considered taxable income to the IBO’s business. Special Events can provide information on available options when you book your flights. Downgrade incentives are only available to Executive Diamonds who book their flights through Amway. Self-booked tickets are not eligible.

If you wish to book your own flights for Executive Diamond Club/Diamond Club 2015, please follow the procedures below to request and ensure airfare reimbursement where applicable. Due to contractual agreements we have set up with the airlines, airline tickets booked outside of Special Events without completion and authorization of this form will not be reimbursed.


To request an exception to book your own airline tickets and be reimbursed later, you must complete, sign, and submit the Flight Exception Request Form prior to booking your airline tickets. Do not book any tickets until you receive written confirmation from Special Events that your form has been received, approved, and processed.

Expedited Reimbursements: Qualified Diamonds and above will obtain reimbursement for their airfare using an expedited process in which reimbursement is made at the time the airfare receipt is received by Amway. This expedited reimbursement will be made in the IBO’s next bonus period. If for any reason the Diamond does not attend or fails to qualify for the event, the amount that was reimbursed will be immediately deducted from their next bonus payment.

Frequent Flyer Miles: Qualified Diamonds and above may choose to self-book a flight using an airline’s frequent flyer miles. Amway will reimburse 60% of the IBO’s air allowable for a ticket paid for by the IBO using frequent flyer miles or frequent flyer miles combined with cash. To obtain reimbursement, IBOs must submit the airfare proof of purchase from the airline for a ticket to/from the event. The IBO will receive the reimbursement in the next bonus period. This reimbursement is categorized as IRS Form 1099 reportable income from Amway to the IBO business. If the IBO does not attend or fails to qualify for the event, the reimbursement amount will be deducted from their bonus.

Air Allowable: Amway will reimburse round-trip airfare (not to exceed your air allowable amount) from your home airport to Kahului Airport in Maui, Hawaii (OGG) based on the best negotiated rates Special Events is able to receive for your given program dates. Should you wish to use a specific airline, change your flight plan, or need specific airline flights and/or times, this could alter the cost of your airline ticket. Your air allowable will not be determined until after qualifications are complete.
