The intentions and objectives of the National B-BBEE Summit include the following:
- To unveil the refined B-BBEE Act and Codes of Good Practice;
- To provide a platform for policy engagements and robust discussion with both public and private stakeholders;
- To facilitate business-to-business linkages between micro and small enterprises with established corporates (match-making process);
- To create a platform for all three spheres of Government and the Presidential B-BBEE Advisory Council to engage on the transformation objectives, discuss the long-term goals, strategies and alignment with other key strategic transformational policies;
- To showcase national, provincial and local government and its products and services that have been crafted to benefit the recipients of B-BBEE;
- To showcase the unsung success stories and Government’s efforts to ensure true and meaningful transformation and distribution of wealth and resources to the majority of South Africans; and
- To ensure that exempted small and medium enterprises are exposed to the international and national pavilion.
