George Platsis Chief Administrative Officer SRI Professionals George is the chief administrative officer of SRI Professionals and managing director of GCOR7, an
interdisciplinary consultancy advising organizations of emerging threats, risk
identification and prevention measures.
In the not-for-profit sector, he is vice-chair
and chief operating officer of the Distinguished Scholars of Canada Foundation,
sits on the board of advisers for the Science in Service to Humanity Foundation
(Washington, DC), and the Admiral James J. Carey Foundation (Washington, DC).
Also, he has been recognized by the Government of Canada for outstanding service and contribution as a volunteer. He leads an annual trip the United Nations Headquarters (New York City, NY), as part of a delegation for youth leadership development that promotes the 8 UN Millennium Development Goals, and has been appointed as a representative of an ECOSOC organization to the United Nations NGO Committee for the Status of Women-NY, for a three-year term, ending in 2017. Michael K. Daly Chief Technology Officer, Cybersecurity & Special Missions Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS). Raytheon Company Michael Daly is the Chief Technology Officer of
Cybersecurity and Special Missions (CSM), for Raytheon Company’s
Intelligence, Information and Services (IIS) business.
Daly provides cybersecurity and advanced intelligence solutions to
government and commercial customers, delivering quick-reaction mission
solutions and support to high-consequence special missions.
Daly is a Principle Engineering Fellow and provides leadership in Raytheon’s cyber technologies and research across Raytheon Company. He has worked for more than 28 years in security and information systems in both the private sector and federal government. James Calder Applied Intelligence's Client Services Manager BAE Systems James is a passionate and energetic security professional with a love
of technology and the power it has in transforming businesses. He is a
trusted advisor to C-level executives and Boards, and has delivered a
wide range of consulting and infrastructure engagements across a variety
of industries.
Recently James has lead a number of major projects in South East Asia,
including the security assessment of an Internet Banking platform
spanning 4 countries, and working with a global natural resources
company to help secure their infrastructure assets.
James brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in deploying, securing and assessing a range of infrastructure solutions and software platforms. Areas of expertise include information security auditing, ISO27000 assessments, risk management, SCADA and ICS assessments, wired and wireless network implementation, enterprise system implementation, and IT strategic planning and alignment. This breadth of knowledge is coupled with a proven ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels, providing a vital bridge between management and the technical world of IT security. For the past 12 months, James has been running the company’s Malaysian Cyber Security business, overseeing the day-to-day delivery of all projects in the region and providing specialist advice to large organisations. Recently, James has relocated to Singapore to continue expanding the company’s operations throughout South East Asia. Steve Ledzian Technical Director (Asia) FireEye Steve Ledzian brings 20 years of IT experience to
FireEye in his role as Systems Engineering Director for Asia, which
includes Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, Indonesia, Vietnam,
Hong Kong, Taiwan and India.
Steve leads a team of seasoned security experts responsible for providing high level pre sales support and guidance to FireEye account teams, customers and partners. Previous to FireEye, Steve managed the Security Specialist SE team for Cisco Systems in Asia, which he joined through Cisco's acquisition of IronPort. Prior to relocating to Asia he worked in Silicon Valley startups for over 10 years. Steve has a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science form Rutgers University. Sim Kiem Lee Chief Technology Officer Baiduri Bank Berhad Sim Kiem Lee joined Baiduri Bank in 1997 and held
various positions in Branch Operations and in IT prior to heading the IT
Department in 2006. Responsible for overseeing the overall IT
functions, his experience include Application Systems Support, Data
Centre, Service Quality, Change Management, Risk Management, Project
Management, Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Planning, IT
Governance and Security Management.
Sim holds an International Honours Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Cambridge International College, Great Britain and is a certified IT Manager (CITM). His interests include travelling and reading. Being an IT professional, it comes as no surprise that he enjoys playing computer games and spending long hours on the internet. Peter Byford Technical Consultant & Project Manager BAG Networks Sdn. Bhd. Peter is an experienced technical consultant and project manager
currently working for the Brunei Accenture Group (BAG) Networks Sdn Bhd.
He has a passion for learning new technologies, developing his skills
and training other people. Peter is originally from the United Kingdom
and has now spent over 6 years living in Brunei Darussalam with his wife
Germaine Fang (a local Bruneian).
Early in his career, Peter worked as a network engineer for two large UK based telecommunications providers. He supported various UK companies and national institutions such as the BBC and UK National Grid. During his time in Brunei, he has lead multiple projects and architected many solutions for the Brunei government. Altogether, he has gained over 13 years of valuable experience working in the IT and Telecommunication industries. Peter is a Cisco Certified Network Professional Security Specialist (CCNP security) and has achieved recognition by Infosec and the US NSA (4011 & 4013 standard). Additionally he is also a certified Project Manager Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute and also possesses the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management, besides many other technical qualifications including a degree in Geophysics. |

Christopher Ng Ming Yew Counsel and Deputy Public Prosecutor, Criminal Justice Division Attorney General’s Chambers, Brunei Darussalam Christopher Ng has been a Counsel & Deputy Public Prosecutor at the Attorney General’s
Chambers since 2004 after graduating with a law degree from the University of Bristol,
completing his Bar Vocational Course at Nottingham Law School and subsequently
being called to the Bar at the Honourable Society of the Inner Temple.
Christopher also holds a Masters in Criminal Justice Policy from the London
School of Economics and Political Science which he obtained in 2013 where he
studied Corporate and Financial Crime, Cyber Law and Terrorism.
Christopher is currently in the Special Duties Unit of the Criminal Justice Division of the Attorney General’s Chambers and has participated in a number of local cybercrime and cybersecurity related initiatives including being a member of the drafting team in the Attorney General’s Chambers for amendments to the Penal Code which introduced new sexual offences committed via the internet and the use of technology as well as the drafting team tasked with introducing new amendments to the Computer Misuse Act. He is also in charge of the Attorney General’s Chambers’ Cybercrime awareness programme under the “Program Mendekati Masyarakat” series on the Risk and Dangers of Social Media which is targeted at the younger generation and has now been delivered to 12 schools and educational institutions in Brunei Darussalam. Christopher has also presented on cybercrime to local and international audiences concerning Brunei Darussalam’s cybercrime framework, most recently at the AITI Cyber Security Week in November 2014 and the 7th Senior Officials Meeting on Mutual Legal Assistance held in Manila, Philippines in December 2013. |

Associate Professor Suresh Sangkaranayan Assoc. Professor, School of computing and Information Technology Institut Teknologi Brunei Assoc. Prof.(Dr) Suresh. Sankaranarayanan holds a PhD degree (2006) in
Electrical Engineering with specialization in Networking from the
University of South Australia . Later he has worked as a Postdoctoral
Fellow and then as a Lecturer in the University of Technology, Sydney
and University of Sydney, Australia respectively during 2006-2008. He is
the recipient of University of South Australia President Scholarship
towards pursuing Phd degree Programme and also has bagged the IEEE
travel award in 2005.
During 2008-11, he worked as a Lecturer (Asst. Prof. Status) in the Department of Computing and lead the Intelligent Networking Research Group, in the University of West Indies, Kingston, Jamaica. During 2011-2012 he worked as a a Professor, School of Computer Science and Engineering, Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT University), Chennai Campus, India. He is presently working as Assoc.Professor, School of computing and Information Technology , Institut Teknologi Brunei(ITB- A Technological University), Brunei Darussalam and Visiting professor, Department of Computing, University of WestIndies, Kingston, Jamaica, W.I-7 He was also awarded Best Research & publication award for 2010 in University of WestIndies, Jamaica. He is also Senior Member of IEEE computer Society and Computer Society of India too. |
